Where is God?

It’s the first question we ask when a gunman attacks innocent people, as happened on Wednesday night in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and that I pursued in writing Denial, about the exploitation of innocents through sexual abuse.

I had the opportunity to share my thoughts in Charisma news today and invite you to take a moment to read and share.

  1. It’s a good question to ask. Where is God? Perhaps letting us choose to allow him into our lives. Those who have opened the door to God receive support and peace at a time like this. Those that haven’t – lives self-guided by feelings and emotions, which can result in behavior that hurts others. This is a good reminder to continually pray that God is with us, because the alternative is a dark place. Part of God’s love is that he stand at the door and knocks and waits for us to answer rather than busting the door down. I’ll pray for those who suffered loss in this, and also pray for those who are lost.
