Editor’s Note: Sometimes walking with God means having the courage to stand against or demolish spiritual strongholds that present obstacles to knowing God.
Sexual abuse is one such stronghold, and it’s a place where God has called me to enter the battle by speaking truth and shining His light. It’s for this reason that I’m sharing a post with you that I published today on Medium.
Even though it is a bit outside our typical conversations here on Faith Runner, I hope you will take a moment to read this article, If you are fortunate not to have experienced sexual harassment, abuse or assault personally, the chances are extremely high someone you know and love has been affected.
Your willingness to lean in and learn will equip you to become part of changing our cultural mindset, and perhaps to serve as a support to someone in need who just hasn’t had the courage to tell anyone…yet.
The tools of our trade aren’t for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ.
